Body of Missing Tabor City, NC Woman Found By Relatives Searching For Her

(February 21, 2025) - Blaque/OUT Magazine is sad to report that the missing 25yr old in North Carolina, Ervianna "Baydee" Johnson, was located on Wednesday on Bermuda Bay Lane by family members that had been searching for her since her disappearance in the early morning hours of February 13th. Ervianna is reported to have left her home without her phone, keys or belongs at 3:00AM as if running out quickly to meet someone with plans to return. Johnson’s family reported her missing to the police on February 16th. Ervianna’s sister reported that family discovered her body near a pond to the south of where the deceased had lived on Bermuda Bay Lane. She was discovered face down without shoes.

Law Enforcement reports that a 21yr old Black male is being sought as a suspect in the crime but did not release that suspect’s name. Ervianna has been widely misgendered by media and law enforcement. Many of her family members still use he/him pronouns and birth name identifiers in referring to her. Transformation NC is working to get media to update coverage with Ervianna’s correct pronouns.

"Agents from the SBI Coastal District and the Columbus County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating the case, and the body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Raleigh for an autopsy," the SBI news release stated. "The cause of death is undetermined at this time, pending the results of the autopsy. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available."

Sending love and light to Ervianna’s friends and family. Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at 910-640-1428
